Our Walking Trail was planned and built over a four year period starting in 2013. From initial planning to a committment to work over the next two years to place the trail beds. Phase One in 2014 and Phase Two in 2015.
Community members have donated their time, expertise, equipment and labour to provide in kind support. This allowed partnering funding support from Health and Wellness, Active Living Branch, Trail Assistance Program (TAP) Municipality of Kings and Annapolis Valley Trail Coalition.
WRCA would also like to thank Nova Scotia Power Corporation for their support. Community is and can model a living legacy of how visions become a reality; with the goal being, the benefits of the project for everyone in the community.
