WHITE ROCK COMMUNITY TRAIL

Our Walking Trail was planned and built over a four year period starting in 2013. From initial planning to a committment to work over the next two years to place the trail beds. Phase One in 2014 and Phase Two in 2015. Community members have donated their time, expertise, equipment and labour to provide in kind support. This allowed partnering funding support from Health and Wellness, Active Living Branch, Trail Assistance Program (TAP) Municipality of Kings and Annapolis Valley Trail Coalition. WRCA would also like to thank Nova Scotia Power Corporation for their support. Community is and can model a living legacy of how visions become a reality; with the goal being, the benefits of the project for everyone in the community.

Building Trail Stories & Pictures

The Trail weaves itself amongst ten (-/+) acres of land. Benches are placed throughout the groomed trail. An outdoor classroom setting exsists for presentations. Wildlife and birds are ever present.
“Geocaches” are hidden on trail land to be found using GPS co-ordinates.
The trail has hosted children's birthday parties, scavanger hunts, exercise classes, meditation and relaxation classes, bird and nature walks and Walkabout Activities. Snowshoeing the trail in the winter is very popular. Regular events do happen. For up to date details check our Facebook Page.
